Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 : Samsung’s Mid End Smartphone with 5 MP camera

The Samsung wants to repeat his success of the galaxy series phones by launching the latest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. The Samsung released this phone on February 2011.

Samsung Galaxy Ace imageIn terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy Ace closely resembles the Apple iPhone 4. Candybar-shaped wrapped with a glossy touch. But the size of The Galaxy Ace smaller than the iPhone 4. The Galaxy Ace has dimensions , 112.4 mm length, 59.9 mm width and 11.5 mm thick. Under the display are three buttons, touch sensitive buttons (menu & back) and the home button in the middle.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace has a 3.5 inches TFT screen, with 320 x 480 pixels resolution. It does pale in comparison with Samsung’s AMOLED equipped smartphones. Display menu appears clear, although direct sunlight. But the low-resolution display makes reading texts a little Difficult. The Galaxy Ace Screen greater when compared with LG Optimus One and HTC Wildfire (They are only 3.2-inch screen). This sector is ‘satisfying in its class.

We are pleased with the quality of this camera. As we know, some of the android phone has a camera with a less satisfactory quality. On the back is a 5-megapixel autofocus camera which is complemented by an LED flash. But, when recording video, the result was disappointing. However, The Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 have a better video recording than LG Optimus P500.  Result of video record QVGA @ 15fps.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace runs Android OS, v2.2 Froyo (upgradable to v2.3) with 800 MHz ARM 11 processor. the system runs quite fast . When multitasking, The Galaxy Ace feels smooth. If too many applications running,  the Samsung Galaxy Ace had prepared the Task Manager apps. With this option, we can kill unnecessary applications.

The smartphone runs Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0 interface on top of the stock Android interface which gives it a slightly different look and feel. Despite the changes on the Samsung driven interface, it still runs like a regular Android smartphone but with a few added enhancements.

This smartphone supports 3G/HSDPA speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. In addition, the Galaxy Ace also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot and has Bluetooth v2.1 A2DP.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is a phone that has potential to getting the best of the middle-class market. Some excellent features such as camera and capable of satisfying Android Froyo package with 800 MHz processor, proved to be a decoy in its class. Unfortunately, The Galaxy Ace has not supported the Adobe Flash Player 10.1.
