Sony Xperia Ion, Sony’s first LTE smartphone coming to AT&T
One of the most awaited device at CES 2012, Sony Xperia Ion officially announced and will come to AT&T. This is the Sony, not Sony Ericsson. Sony Xperia Ion became Sony’s first phone with LTE connectivity. A good step for real progress in the US market.
Sony Xperia Ion comes with 4.6-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 12 MP primary camera with Exmor R technologyis capable of recording 1080 p HD video 0n the back and a 1.3 MP front facing camera offers 720p video.
To handle the task, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S3 dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM embedded in the Xperia Ion. As for storing data, provided the internal storage of 16 GB + micro SD up to 32 GB. Unfortunately, this phone running Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box. However, the Ice Cream Sandwich update would be available soon after launch.
Sony Xperia Ion will also Playstation-Certified , like the Xperia Play is earlier got it. In addition, the Xperia Ion will be equipped the future feature, NFC technology. The plan, Sony Xperia Ion will be launched in the second quarter (Q2) 2012. There has been no official information about the price, but supposedly, Sony Xperia Ion will be offered at price ofaround $ 250.
