Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was Released on Google IO 2012 in San Francisco. According to Hugo Barra, Director of Google Product Management quoted from Techradar, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean launched when the Android user reaches 400 million today and now 1 million Android devices activated each day. It means that the android devices is activated up to 12 devices per second.
Project Butter forFaster performance
Project butter in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has enhanced the ability of Vsync, triple buffering, and a more responsive touch screen and claimed this increase will improve the user experience.
Widgets sizes can be set
Android Jelly Bean provides enhanced experiences when interacting and people will spend much time tinkering with the android home screen.
Widgets is characteristic of Android, now Widgets on the Jelly Bean will look more impressive. Now putting the widgets and icons are no longer complicated. Android Jelly Bean has its own space for widgets. At the demo session, Jelly Bean able to minimize the widget so it could fit on the home screen.
Offline Voice Typing
Jelly Bean Keyboard also offers offline voice typing. This is another major change that brought by Jelly Bean. With this feature the user can type the word through voice input without an internet connection. Unfortunately, there is no information if this feature will also support other languages besides English.

Google Now is the latest location-based feature that is one of the excellent features of Android Jelly Bean. Google Now will provide more relevant information to each user. According to Hugo Bara, Google Now give the right information at the right time for the user.
For example, when you have a meeting schedule in one place today, Google Now will remind you to come on time. Not only that, Google Now will provide information on the estimated travel time and bus schedules to get to the destination
Smarter Voice Search
Voice Search allows users to search by voice. Now This feature is integrated with Google Now. Voice Search will help users to query information about the movies, weather, foreign exchange rates, math questions and more.
Smarter Notifications
Notification bar on the Android Jelly Bean now is smarter. You can call back via the notification bar when you get a missed call.
