Microsoft Announces New Tablet The Surface: Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT

Microsoft has just officially announced a new tablet through a press conference held in Los Angeles, US. The tablet is called Surface.

Microsoft Surface comes with 10.6-inch ClearType HD screen coated Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The Surface will be launched in two models. The first tablet, will be powered by an Intel 22nm Ivy Bridge, which gives the experience of ‘Full Windows’ from Windows 8 Pro to users. While the second tablet will come with the ARM chipset, tablets are specially for the operating system designed for ARM-based Windows 8 tablet, also known as Windows RT.

A number of popular applications from Microsoft will be part of the tablet Surface, including Xbox Live, and Netflix. The device is also reported to be equipped with an HDMI and USB 2.0 port, and the camera on the back and in front of the device.

This tablet is equipped with a Bluetooth keyboard. The screen of device also support for two-finger touch and stylus, and 600 dpi “Digital Ink” for drawing, writing, and marking documents.

As quoted Viewsmartphone via BGR.com, Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Pro-running will come in two choices of internal memory, 64 GB and 128 GB. While the Microsoft Surface Windows RT-running, will come in 32 GB and 64 GB of internal memory.
