Archos 80 Cobalt, the latest Archos’s android tablet has just been introduced via their Facebook page. Archos 80 Cobalt featuring 8-inch display with 1024×768 pixels resolution. For the operating system, the Archos 80 Cobalt uses Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

On the performance side, the Archos 80 Cobalt embed dual-core 1.6 GHz CPU with quad-core GPU and 1GB of RAM. The tablet has an 8GB of internal memory capacity, which can be expanded with a microSD slot up to 64GB.

Archos 80 Cobalt with dimensions of 153.5 x203x11, 5 mm and weighs 470 grams, has two cameras. A 2 MP camera on the back, and there is a VGA camera on the front. Another feature that was prepared for Archos 80 Cobalt is WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack, music player-video (1080p support).

Unfortunately, Archos has not announced a release date and price of the Archos 80 Cobalt. So we wait.

Aakash 2, cheap tablet for the India market released next month

India will have a very cheap tablet soon. Tablet is Aakash 2. The tablet is priced at only $ 35. It is super cheap. Even, currently, Aakash 2 is provided free by the government of India for the students.

However, you do not expect much with the specs of this tablet, but it’s not bad. Aakash 2 is equipped with an ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM, front camera and 4GB  of internal memory capacity. The screen is a capacitive touch screen and supports multitouch. Aakash 2 runs on Android Gingerbread.

Datawind which is the manufacturer of the tablet reveals that Aakash 2 has received many requests before it was launched. They claim to have produced more than 5.5 million units of the tablet. But it’s a small amount, because they target production rate of up to 220 million units.

Aakash 2 will be released on October 5th. Meanwhile, there is no information whether the Aakash 2 will also be launched outside India.

Sony also announced a new tablet, the Sony Xperia Tablet S at pre-IFA event. Sony Xperia Tablet S announced along with four new smartphones, the Xperia V, T, TX, and J. Sony Xperia Tablet S is more powerful than its predecessor, but no change in screen size and resolution.

Sony Xperia Tablet S has a 9.4 inch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution and the wedge as its predecessor, but it’s thinner, measures 8.8mm-11.9mm. The tablet uses Tegra 3 chipset with quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It’s available in three choices of internal memory, 16, 32 and 64GB and can be expanded via microSD card slot.

There’s an 8MP camera on the back capable of recording full HD 1080p video and front-facing 1MP camera. This tablet uses a 6000mAh battery and is claimed to last up to 10 hours. In addition, the Sony Xperia Tablet S is a waterproof tablet with IPX-4 certified.

There is no information on pricing, but the Sony Xperia Tablet S is expected to be released in September 2012.

Update: Sony Xperia Tablet S will come in Wi-Fi-only form, the 16GB model sells for $399, the 32GB model for $499, the 64GB model for $599.

Sony also provides a variety of accessories for the Xperia Tablet S. There will be a cover with a built-in keyboard for $99.99, docking stand for the same amount, simple stand for $24.99, carrying covers, charging cradle for $39.99, and dock speaker for $129.99 .

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Officially Launched, LTE Version Later This Year

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 officially launched. This is the second appearance of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Previously, Samsung announced  The Galaxy Note 10.1 will come with dual core processor and 3 MP camera. In fact, Samsung has made some improvements to the The Galaxy Note 10.1 specs.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with 10.1 inch TFT PLS 1280×800 pixel display with 149ppi pixel density. For good performance, the tablet is powered quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 processor, Mali 400MP GPU, and 2 GB of RAM.

For taking pictures feature, there are 5 Megapixel camera on the back and front facing 1.9 Megapixel camera. Samsung launches the Galaxy Note 10.1 in 16GB, 32 Gb and 64GB models. Samsung also provides a number of exclusive applications such as S Note, S Planner, Crayon physics, Adobe Photoshop Touch and Polaris Office.  For more optimal, you should use the S Pen for drawing.

Samsung will offer the Galaxy Note 10.1 in two colors, white and silver. The Galaxy Note 10.1 comes in two connectivity versions are Wifi only and 3G enabled. Meanwhile, LTE version will be released later this year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is available in Korea, Germany, the UK and the US. While Global markets gradually following. The Galaxy Note 10.1 sold in Europe at price of €479 for the Wi-Fi only and €599 for the 3G enabled.

Casio V-T500, the Rugged android tablet

Casio V-T500 is a Rugged android tablet that has just been announced by Casio. This tablet is designed to impact resistant, moisture resistant, and dustproof. Even, Casio claims the V-T500 will not be damaged even if dropped up to one meter heigh.

Casio V-T500 running Android 4.0 ICS. The tablet is equipped with a dual core  TI OMAP 4460 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. For good performance, this tablet comes with 16GB of internal memory and RAM 1GB.

Casio V-T500 also equipped with a 5MP camera on the back and front. In addition, on connectivity side, the tablet is supported WiFi 802.11. a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB port, mini USB and mini HDMI output.

This tablet doesn’t support HSPA / UMTS / EDGE, GPRS also. However, Casio will also launch tablet version that supports this, the V-T500GE. Both tablets are equipped with hand belt and neck strap so that the tablet does not easily fall.

Google Nexus 7, the Google’s first tablet and android 4.1 jelly bean-running

Google Nexus 7, the Google’s first tablet and android 4.1 jelly bean-running has just officially announced at the  Google I / O Developer Conference held in San Francisco. Google Nexus 7 is the result of collaboration between Asus and Google is sold at a price of $ 199.99 dollars. The tablet will be released starting in July 2012.

Google plans to release two versions for the first tablet. the 8 GB version is priced at $ 199 and the 16 GB version for $ 249.

Google Nexus 7 is equipped with 7-inch IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution, quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB of RAM and 12 ultra-low voltage Core nVidia GeForce GPU.

On the connectivity side, Google Nexus 7 has a Wi-Fi a / b / g / n, Bluetooth, micro USB and NFC connectivity. In this tablet there are also Google Wallet pre-installed. In addition, Google Nexus 7 features 1.2 MP main camera in front that can record 720p video without rear camera.

Google Nexus 7 is available for pre-order right now in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK and will start shipping mid-July.

Archos has just announced Android 4.0 tablet that is designed for kids or children. This tablet called the Child Pad. The Child Pad interface is suitable for children. Colorful icons, home screen folder with direct access to games, puzzles, entertainment and learning. In addition, The Child Pad comes with 28 pre-loaded applications including children Angry Birds, Frenz and Flight Pig Rush.

Although the Child Pad is designed for kids, but this tablet has nice specifications. The Child Pad will come with a 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and a 7-inch 1024 × 600 touchscreen. Before the MWC 2012 event held, Samsung has announced two flagship tablets, which is The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) and (10.1). Yesterday Samsung officially announced The Galaxy Note 10.1 at MWC 2012 event. The Galaxy Note 10.1 ’brings’ pen stylus that enables you to perform activities such as drawing in this tablet.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with 10.1 inch WXGA (1280×800) TFT PLS, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 3 Megapixel rear camera, 2 Megapixel front camera, HSPA connectivity, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Interestingly, this tablet provides a multi-screen functionality. it means that it allows you to perform multi-tasking.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 also has software to help you edit photos and drawing, the Adobe Photoshop Touch and Adobe Ideas. Both integrated S Pen. In addition, there is S Note, a unique and efficient tool that lets you combine notes or sketches together with images, web content and other digital media into your own personalized storyboards.

We have not obtained information about price and release date of The Galaxy Note 10.1. So we wait.

Samsung introduces new line up of the tablets device, this tablet is called The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). It’s a tablet that packs 10.1-inch PLS TFT screen and running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) specifications is very similar to the original Galaxy Tab 10.1, a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM embedded on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). As for storing your data and multimedia content, provided 16GB and 32GB internal memory and microSD card slot.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) equipped with a 3-megapixel camera on the back that can record 1080p video. While the VGA camera on front for video chat. It means downgrade from the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 (2 Megapixel). When compared with The Original Galaxy Tab 10.1, this tablet also has thicker (9,7mm vs 8,6 mm) and heavier (588 gram vs 560 gram) body even though both use the 7000mAh battery.

Samsung will exhibit The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) at the MWC 2012 event. This tablet will be released in March, along with Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). About pricing, we haven’t obtained the information.

Samsung seems to want to dominate in every market segment. They have just announced latest tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). The tablet will be the Samsung’s first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet out of the box and expected to come at affordable price.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) specifications is identical to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. The Tab 2 (7.0) has specification, such as 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixels) resolution PLS LCD screen, 3MP main camera plus front camera, 1GB of RAM and the plan, this tablet will be available in two models, 16GB and 32 GB of internal memory. In connectivity sector, The Galaxy Tab 2 has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPA + technology.

However, there are some things that make the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is different than The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. Samsung eliminates LED flash light and provides thicker design – 10.5 mm, The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is only 9.9mm.

Unfortunately, The Galaxy Tab 2’s  CPU has 1 GHz clock speed, not 1.2 GHz. In addition, there is no detail information about this CPU, Is this chip uses Exynos or not.

We haven’t received official information on pricing, but The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) price is estimated slightly cheaper than the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus (currently priced at around €320) and may be released in March 2012.
